Located in the historic locomotive sheds at Ängelholm station, the Railway Museum offers an engaging insight into Sweden’s railway history. The museum is designed for visitors of all ages, featuring interactive exhibitions and authentic environments.
Explore detailed reconstructions of railway settings, including early wooden tracks used in mines, waiting rooms from the early 20th century, and track workers' cottages. A large model railway brings history to life, showcasing trains and landscapes from different eras. Those eager to experience what it’s like to drive a train can try the LOCOMOTION simulator, which lets visitors compare the controls of a steam locomotive to a modern high-speed train.
For younger visitors, the museum offers a play area and, during summer months, a mini-train ride in the adjacent park. After your visit, relax in the café or browse the museum shop for railway-themed souvenirs.
The museum is open from September to May, Tuesday to Sunday, 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM, and daily from June to August, 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM. It is closed on December 23–25 and December 31–January 1.
